Current courses (online delivery)

Whether you are new to TD or are an experienced analyst wanting to refresh your knowledge, you will find this interactive workshop valuable training for day-to-day analysis using TD.

This online workshop, to be held over 4 x half-day sessions, will cover the theory and practice of thermal desorption (TD) from basic to advanced level.

What you will learn on this course:

  • Understand the differences between sampling techniques and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
  • Learn how to optimise TD methods.
  • Learn how to optimise sampling using sorbent tubes, including selecting the best sorbents
  • and determining breakthrough volumes.
  • Become adept at TD troubleshooting and routine maintenance to get the best possible results from your analysis.

Workshop leaders

This course will be run by our team of product specialists and application support chemists.  Utilising a combination of online teaching, interactive breakout sessions and live video overviews, you will have direct access to our unrivalled expertise in the application of TD for your analytical needs.  All sessions include a Q&A “clinic” where we can support you with your application.

ChromSpace is a powerful, easy-to-use software platform for GC×GC analysis, the result of feedback from expert users of GC×GC in industry, research and academia. Although initially developed to support our own hardware solutions, incorporating the INSIGHT® GC×GC modulator and BenchTOF™ time-of-flight mass spectrometers, ChromSpace is compatible with a wide range of data file formats to allow processing of 1D GC and GC×GC data from a range of instruments/vendors on a single platform.

We are now offering new online training sessions (~2 hour duration) for individual users, company groups and for academia.

Who should attend:

  • New users of ChromSpace
  • Existing users of GC×GC who are interested to find out if ChromSpace can help with their current GC×GC data analysis challenges
  • Individuals or companies who are intrigued by GC×GC and want an introductory insight into the data processing aspects to find out if it would be suitable to further their work..

What you will learn on this course:

  • How to import your data and use ChromSpace for GC×GC data visualisation
  • How data visualisation differs between 1D and 2D chromatography
  • How to use EIC’s and EIC sets for quickly exploring your data
  • How to perform simple integration and perform manual adjustments
  • How to perform simple group-type analysis and generate sample reports
  • How to create automated methods for integration and RI-corrected NIST library searches
  • How to write a simple script to filter your data and find target compounds/classes.
  • How to use the quantitative workflow.
