Towards field optimised, near-real time, continuous monitoring of trace-level chemical warfare agents in air
Presented at International workshop on the analysis of chemical warfare agents to mark the 50th anniversary of VERIFIN, November 2023
Continuous, near-real time (NRT) monitoring of airborne hazardous compounds is essential in areas where they may pose an immediate and severe threat to human health.
Key CWA monitoring examples include:
- Stockpile & destruction sites
- Abandoned chemical weapon recovery programmes
- Threat detection at military or civilian sites
To enable mobile or remote monitoring and maintain discretion, NRT systems also require self-contained services and minimal user intervention.
In this poster we show how Markes' TT24-7NRT™ instrument has been optimised to meet key requirements for monitoring trace level airborne CWAs at remote or discreet locations.
