Markes and SepSolve at Pittcon 2026

10 February 2026

Markes and SepSolve will be exhibiting at Pittcon 2026, taking place 9–11 March in San Antonio, USA. Visitors can meet the team at Booth #1537, where application specialists from both companies will be available to discuss analytical challenges, workflows and practical approaches for the reliable GC–MS analysis of volatile and semi-volatile compounds.

Alongside the exhibition, Markes and SepSolve scientists will present a series of technical contributions covering environmental monitoring, energy and petrochemical applications, materials analysis, and food-related workflows. These presentations complement our presence at the show and reflect ongoing work addressing real-world analytical needs.

Oral presentations will explore topics including fit-for-purpose chromatography for petrochemical monitoring and characterisation, improved workflows for targeted and untargeted breath analysis, advanced sampling and pre-concentration of contaminants in environmental water, hydrogen fuel impurity analysis and the use of high-capacity sorptive extraction with chemometrics to understand chemical variability in food samples.

Poster presentations will cover emerging and applied areas including PFAS measurements in air, volatile analysis of recycled plastics and packaged products, advances in gas chromatography–olfactometry for sensory workflows, and comparative approaches to occupational air monitoring using thermal desorption.

At Booth #1537, visitors can learn how Markes and SepSolve support laboratories analysing volatile and semi-volatile compounds using thermal desorption, automated sample preparation and concentration for GC–MS, and advanced software for data processing and interpretation. With PittCon taking place in a region of strong activity in fenceline monitoring, US EPA Method 325 will be a particular focus of discussions during the event.

Pittcon 2026 also reflects the continued development of Markes and SepSolve within the Velaris family, bringing together complementary expertise across sampling, separation, detection and data insight for gas chromatography.
